Grants for Community Birding Projects (National)

Celebrate Urban Birds at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology invites organizations and educators to apply for mini-grants to help fund neighborhood events in communities everywhere.  The application deadline is December 31, 2015.

Americorps Service Grants (National)

This AmeriCorps State and National (AmeriCorps) accepts grant applications annually in specific focus areas.
A notice of intent to apply is required by December 15, 2015.  The full proposal due January 20, 2016.

Community Improvement Grants Available for Nonprofits in West Virginia

 Beckley Area Foundation is accepting grant applications. Funding is made in the areas of arts, education, health & human services, public recreation and civic beautification. The Foundation prefers to fund innovative and special projects that benefit as many residents as possible.  The next application deadline is December 15, 2015.

Grants for Nonprofit Organizations in West Virginia

The Nicholas County Community Foundation accepts grant applications annually from nonprofit organizations in Nicholas County. Applicant organizations are notified around November 1st of the status of their grant request. No work on a proposed grant project may begin until notification of grant funding has been received.  The annual application deadline is September 1.

Grants for Teachers (National)

The Voya Unsung Heroes program (formerly the ING Unsung Heroes program) annually provides grants to K-12 educators utilizing new teaching methods and techniques that improve learning.  The application deadline is April 30, annually.

Grants to Internationalize Teaching and Learning in the Classroom (National)

The Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC) Program accepts applications annually from qualified U.S. middle and high school teachers for professional development grant opportunity to internationalize teaching and learning in their classes.  The application deadline is generally in mid-March.

Community Impact Grants (Multiple States)

The Shepherd Foundation's Women Investing in Shepherd (WISH) group is accepting letters of inquiry.  The LOI deadline is March 1, 2015.

Historic Preservation Grants in West Virginia

The West Virginia Division of Culture and History is accepting applications for historic preservation development grants.  The deadline is March 31, 2015.  West Virginia grants

Grants for Music Instruments (National)

Classics for Kids Foundation aims to bridge the funding gap and enhance school music programs by providing matching grants for beautiful new stringed instruments.  Applications are accepted on a quarterly basis.
