The Grove Foundation is accepting applications from local organizations for programs that benefit Downers Grove residents. 
The application deadline is November 1, 2015.

Grants for Nonprofits in Illinois

The Youth Engaged in Philanthropy group of the DeKalb County Community Foundation will begin accepting grant applications on December 1 for projects aimed at improving the quality of life for all county youth.  The application deadline is February 1, 2016. Illinois grants

Americorps Service Grants (National)

This AmeriCorps State and National (AmeriCorps) accepts grant applications annually in specific focus areas.
A notice of intent to apply is required by December 15, 2015.  The full proposal due January 20, 2016.

Seed Grants for Social Change Programs

The Crossroads Fund is accepting grant applications to the Seed Fund. This fund supports new, emerging and small community based organizations that are actively engaged in social change work.  The application deadline is February 15, 2016. Illinois grants

Arts Accessibility Grants Available in Illinois

The Rockford Area Arts Council’s Community Arts Access Grants are available for individual artists, arts organizations, and non-profit organizations.  The application deadline is November 13, 2015.

Trail and Park Grants for Nonprofits in Illinois

The Metro East Park and Recreation District is accepting applications to the MEPRD FY16 Park and Trail Grant Matching Program for parks, greenways, and trail projects in Madison and St. Clair Counties . There are numerous types of eligible projects such as land acquisition, land development and/or enhancements. Several examples are given in the guidelines.  Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until June 30, 2016.  

Agriculture Research and Education Grants in Illinois for Nonprofits, Universities, and Public Agencies

The Illinois Department of Agriculture is seeking proposals through its Sustainable Agriculture Grant Program to carry out research, education, and on-farm demonstration projects that address one or more of the purposes listed in the Sustainable Agriculture Act.  The application deadline is October 15, 2015.

Nonprofit Organization Grants in Illinois

The Highland Area Community Foundation accepts applications annually. Grants are given for not-for-profit purposes and to individuals, organizations, or groups that provide community services within the Highland Community Unit School District and in St. Jacob and Marine townships.  The application deadline is July 15.

Grants for Teachers (National)

The Voya Unsung Heroes program (formerly the ING Unsung Heroes program) annually provides grants to K-12 educators utilizing new teaching methods and techniques that improve learning.  The application deadline is April 30, annually.

Grants for Research Programs in the Arts (National)

The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design will begin accepting applications for the Craft Research Fund on May 4. The Mission of the fund is to advance, expand and support research about craft in the United States.  The application deadline is October 9, 2015.
