Funding for After School Programs Available

The Idaho State Department of Education will award approximately 1.5 million for afterschool programs for the 2016-2017 school year.  Letters of Intent to Apply are due December 4; the full application is due January 29, 2016.

Grants for Community Birding Projects (National)

Celebrate Urban Birds at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology invites organizations and educators to apply for mini-grants to help fund neighborhood events in communities everywhere.  The application deadline is December 31, 2015.

Grants for Nonprofit Organizations in Idaho

The Latah County Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals from nonprofit groups seeking support for community projects and programs. Projects must benefit the citizens and area of Latah County. The next deadline is April 22, 2016.

Americorps Service Grants (National)

This AmeriCorps State and National (AmeriCorps) accepts grant applications annually in specific focus areas.
A notice of intent to apply is required by December 15, 2015.  The full proposal due January 20, 2016.

Hunger Relief Grants in Idaho

The Idaho Food Bank Fund accepts grant applications during July from nonprofit organizations who provide hunger relief services. Awarded funds can be used for food, expanded capacity or additional capacity.  The application period is July 1 to July 31.

Grants for Teachers (National)

The Voya Unsung Heroes program (formerly the ING Unsung Heroes program) annually provides grants to K-12 educators utilizing new teaching methods and techniques that improve learning.  The application deadline is April 30, annually.

Environmental Preservation Grants in Idaho

The Targhee POW Foundation and Protect Our Winters partnership has opened the 2015 grant-making cycle for Teton Valley, Idaho.  The application deadline is April 10, 2015.  Idaho grants

Grants for Nonprofit Organizations in Southwest Idaho

The Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) grant cycle for southwest Idaho covers Ada, Adams, Blaine, Boise, Camas, Canyon, Cassia, Elmore, Gem, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka, Owyhee, Payette, Twin Falls, Valley and Washington counties.  The application period opens May 1, with a June 1 deadline, annually.


Grants to Internationalize Teaching and Learning in the Classroom (National)

The Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC) Program accepts applications annually from qualified U.S. middle and high school teachers for professional development grant opportunity to internationalize teaching and learning in their classes.  The application deadline is generally in mid-March.
