Salmon Habitat Restoration and Protection Grants in California

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Fisheries Restoration Grant Program (FRGP) is soliciting proposals for projects that restore, enhance, or protect anadromous salmonid habitat, or projects that lead to restoration, enhancement, or protection of anadromous salmonid habitat.  The application deadline is March 30, 2015.



Bernice Barbour Foundation Grants (National)

The Bernice Barbour Foundation supports the preservation and care of animals and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The foundation supports nonprofit organizations whose purpose is to benefit animals.  Applications are accepted annually; the deadline is generally in July.



Grants for Community Birding Projects (National)

Celebrate Urban Birds at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology invites organizations and educators to apply for mini-grants to help fund neighborhood events in communities everywhere.  The deadline is generally late December or January, annually.



Conservation Education Grants (National)

The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund supports wildlife research, habitat protection, animal rescue, and conservation education in the United States and more than sixty countries around the world. 
The application deadline is generally January 1, annually.



Animal Rescue Grants (National)

The Doris Day Animal Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations for animal welfare, human assistance animals, the care and feeding of animals, and pet adoption and rescue.  There is no application deadline; the foundation reviews inquiries as received. al grants



Grants for Pets in the Classroom (National)

Pets in the Classroom is an educational grants program supporting responsible pet care for school classrooms. Sponsored by the Pet Care Trust, the goal of the program is to establish healthy child-pet relationships at an early age by supporting responsible pet care in Kindergarten-6th Grade classrooms across the U.S. and Canada. Applications may be submitted at any time.



Grants for Animal Shelters (National)

The Edith J. Goode Residuary Trust supports the development of organizational capacity for organizations incorporated for the prevention of cruelty to animals. In particular, the trust supports shelter management and other training costs for shelter personnel.  Applications are accepted year round and reviewed quarterly.



Grants for Wildlife Conservancy (National)

The Thornton S. Glide, Jr. and Katrina D. Glide Foundation is a charitable trust providing benefits for qualified organizations committed to animal protection organizations, and other land and wildlife conservancy groups. 
Applications are accepted from May 15 through August 15, annually.



Capacity Building Grants in California

The Santa Barbara Foundation Express Grants offer an opportunity for nonprofits to strengthen and improve organizational efficiency.  Applications are accepted the first Monday of every month.
