Arkansas Forestry Commission is accepting aplications for Volunteer Fire Assistance Grants.
These grants make $1,000 available to help train and equip local volunteer fire departments serving 10,000 residents or less. The goal is to prevent, control and suppress fires in rural areas.
The application deadline is July 20, 2009.
