Funding is available through the Mercer County Bar Foundation to eligible organizations for the support, development and/or implementation of programs relating to intolerance and/or violence prevention or bullying, which promote conflict resolution or reduce violence in children's behavior.

Organizations or community groups in Greater Mercer County, providing training opportunities relating to intolerance and or violence prevention or bullying, or promoting conflict resolution and/or addressing violent behavior among school-age children are eligible to apply.  Any eligible program must have a component that substantively involves parents. KITES mini-grants will be available for non-recurring expenses; eligible organizations may receive no more than one KITES mini-grant in any given school year.

The maximum KITES (Kids Instructed in Tolerance though Education and Support) grant award is $500.  The next application deadline is September 30, 2009.
