Up to $30,000 is available this year for Solid Waste Venture Grants in Salina, Kansas.
The grants are to support projects that can reduce waste to the Salina Landfill. Grants may be awarded to for-profit companies, nonprofit groups and government agencies. Applicants are expected to provide a portion of the cost of their project or program.
Several members of the Salina/Saline County Solid Waste Management Committee will review applications and recommend grant awards to the full committee the last week of August. Salina city commissioners have final approval.
